Documenting Our Journey…
Back in April my husband Lee and I attended the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza in Birmingham and much to my delight my stand was put in the same room as my friend Laura from Babb Photo. Laura is not only super lovely (as is her other half Pete), she is also an incredible wedding photographer; one of Range Finders Top 30 Wedding Photographers in the world 2016 … now that’s some accolade to have under your belt!
As day one at the wedding fair came to a close, we grabbed the opportunity to have some photos with Laura. At first we were a little nervous and it seemed a bit strange; we’ve been married nearly 10 years and most couple shoots are for pre-wedding! Documentary, creative wedding photography wasn’t even really a ‘thing’ back when we got married, so to have time with Laura who is a total pro at this style, made us feel at ease and finally gave us the opportunity to have some photos to hang on our walls at home.
It got me thinking; should it feel strange to have some new professional photos of us together, even 10 years into our marriage? I guess the answer is, it shouldn’t be. Photos taken on your mobile phone and shared on social media is one …
