We have something a little different for you today…Brought to us by Mr & Mrs Unique supplier, Rebecca Douglas Photography, this nautical bridal shoot was inspired by the myth of ‘The Siren’ – beautiful, yet deadly creatures whom are said to lure sailors to shipwreck with their enchanting music and voices.

In the Summer of 2016, I was asked to be a part of a creative project with the theme of deconstruction. I worked with a team of local creatives who specialise in hair, make-up and bridal fashion to create unique pieces for a local art exhibition.
I have always lived by the sea; it has been my home and it constantly fascinates and amazes me. From the ferocity of the waves to the wonders of the fairytales and mythology surrounding the vast scape. One myth I decided to focus on was that of ‘The Siren’ which first appeared in Homers ‘The Odyssey’; beautiful, yet deadly creatures whom are said to lure sailors to shipwreck with their enchanting music and voices.
