Love is all around…
Christmas and New Year is the time for family and loved ones, and usually brings us a fresh wave of newly engaged couples. If you’re reading this then chances are, you are one of them…if so – BIG congratulations!!
So, what now? It can be easy to lose your head in the clouds (or Pinterest!) so I’ve got some top tips for you if you’re feeling a tad overwhelmed by all the decisions that lie ahead…
Get ready for questions…
‘Have you set a date?’…’Am I invited?’…’How did he propose?’…Friends and family will be excited for you so get ready for your engagement to be the topic of conversation!
If you don’t want to give too much away, or you haven’t made any decisions yet, something like ‘We’re looking at having a Spring wedding’ or ‘We plan to have a long engagement to allow time to work things out’ should stop too much pestering.
At this point, don’t commit to inviting someone or making them part of your wedding party if things may change – trust me, it will save you a headache in the long run!
