Main Ingredient is run by Flip & Hoops, we have over 20 years of event experience between us. We have recently added a pimped up Street Food Van to our portfolio to do festival feel weddings & parties.
What made you start up the business…
In 2008, a mutual friend put Flip & Hoops in touch. After meeting for an early morning espresso we soon realised our paths had crossed 20 years ago in the advertising world! We talked for hours about our separate catering business and decided to should join forces to take on the world!
What makes you Unique…
What makes us unique is what goes into our food. Not just love, care and attention to detail but every element of every dish is thought through but still maintaining an earthiness to it.
We can cook any dish from our van, so if our bride & groom have a special dish that they would love to eat on their day we can incorporate it in the menu.
Our Street Food Van has rocked up on location for shoots with Harpers Magazine & Hackett. Down to Cowdray Park for Polo. Beautiful weddings with that chilled feel and our hatch has also opened at Elite Private Parties where rock stars have queued for our food too!

What we adore about our business is that every day if filled with laughter and fun and is different. One day we can be cooking pulled roast pork baps from the van for a lovely family party the next day we can be serving intricate canapés for chic parties.
Most favourite event/ wedding…
Our favourite event was a Hackett shoot for 3 days providing all the catering for the male models!!
Our favourite wedding was for a super cool relaxed couple who had Street Food from our hatch in a field with a real festival feel. We all stayed in Yurts and the morning after we served Bloody Marys and breakfast from the van..
