If you go down to the woods…
A month or so ago I took the long trip down to Bristol to spend the day with some pretty amazing wedding peeps, to create a hen party shoot for our new online magazine. The main stylist behind the venture was Lizzie from Wedding Yurts and the shoot took place in Arnos Vale- a very beautiful cemetery in Bristol. But as with all outdoor shoots, we had fingers crossed for a sun but it was just our luck that it poured ALL DAY LONG!
However our dreams of pulling together a fun filled yurt shoot themed on Disco Renaissance finally came together, and after a long day we finally finished at 8pm.
Wedding Yurts Mood Board
The plan was a laid back luxury feel to the day… furs, white leather, glitter balls, 1970’s furniture. Moving into the evening was a fun disco vibe with sequins, stacked heels, custom cocktails and a light up disco floor.
The gorgeous sparkly make up was provide by festival make up artists In Your Dreams- who I would highly recommend for a fun hen party idea, or for evening make up fun at your wedding reception!
A massive thank you to Noel Deasington and his assistant for the fab photos and also to the models Donatella, Danielle and Roxanne who worked a long hard day in the pouring rain. Not forgetting Noel from Sean Hanna for the hair styling.
The clothes were sourced from Miss Selfridge- now they really now how to design a party dress… each outfit was gorgeous! My favourite had to be the green sequin dress shown above! Need this in my life!!
