Today the very lovely Kate Beavis from the National Vintage Wedding Fair shares with us key looks for a 1930s wedding.
After the Wall Street crash in 1929, the following decade proved to be a financial struggle for all, with many brides-to-be opting to use their own best dress rather than to go out and buy one. One thing is for sure, the brides did not want to leave out on the glamour! Biased cut dresses hung beautifully from their hips in colours of ivory, cream and even pastel tones.. Stunning! What an incredible era!

As part of the National Vintage Wedding Fair, we have photographed a series of styled wedding shoots from every era in the 20th century. I wanted the shoot (as with all the others) to concentrate on the dress primarily as well as evoking the mood of the time.
