Earth, Crystals & Witches…
Happy Friday everyone!
Today I have a few sneak peeks from a crystal and witches inspired bridal shoot we did this week. A while back I was asked to put together some ideas and samples for a shoot that took place at the awesome Snap Photography Festival in Wales. My ideas were based around Earth, land formations and crystals; and the lovely Nevie Pie Cakes created a stunning three tiered square cake with sugar crystals, Wilden Bride created a layered, patterned bodice dress and Mint & Mustard designed some amethyst coloured stationery.
Fast forward a few months and after the samples had returned from their trip, I was super keen to try and used them myself in a bridal shoot and it just happened that the most amazing house, with woodland and quirky outbuildings became available for us to use.
I love October… everything feels more magical to me with the nights drawing in and with Halloween around the corner. So the inspiration behind this shoot became quite spiritual, with a modern day witch vibe… think of the movie The Craft and updating it for todays bride.
Dusky coloured bridal dresses, statement jewellery pieces, edgy hair braids, deep plum lips, big blooms with sprayed gold leaves and crystals gave a super luxe feel, a stark contrast against the spooky woods and the dusty workshops.
