Tasty Street food from Main Ingredient…

Today we bring you a fresh, delicious street food recipe of Goan-Style Pork Curry from the lovely ladies at Main Ingredient!

Main Ingredient is run by Flip & Hoops who have over 20 years of event experience between them. They serve lip smacking food for all types of events including weddings out of their Street Food Van, covering Hertfordshire, London and most of the UK.

Main Ingredient- Goan style Pork Curry_0004

Ingredients…

Serves 4

2-3 red chillies (dried or fresh)


1 tsp black pepper corns (or ground black pepper)


1 tsp cardamom seeds/powder


7 cm cinnamon stick or ( 2tsp ground cinnamon)


1 tsp black mustard seeds or 1 dessert spoon of mustard oil


1 tsp fenugreek seeds


2 tsp cumin seeds


1/2 tsp turmeric powder


2 tsp coriander seeds / powder


5 tbsp wine vinegar or palm vinegar if you can find it at an asian store

1 tsp salt
1 tsp light brown sugar

3 cm ginger
200g onions 
1 bulb garlic

Light oil or ghee to fry


6 tbsp water + another 250 ml or chicken stock

1kg pork shoulder steaks cut into cubes
